BWT Alpine Formula One Team, together with title partner BWT, today presented its 2026 colours for its challenger, the A526, marking the start of the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship and a new era for the sport under updated regulations.

The launch took place aboard MSC Cruises' European flagship, MSC World Europa, offering a unique international setting that reflected Formula One's global reach. The event celebrated a partnership built on performance, innovation, and shared values, united by a mission to drive positive change on and off the racetrack.

The A526 livery was presented by race drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto. Its striking new colours combines Alpine's traditional blue with BWT's signature PINK. Driven by its vision to “Change the World – sip by sip,” BWT's signature PINK is more than a color – it is an attitude and a bold statement of innovation, sustainability and responsibility.

As the market leader in water technology, BWT delivers advanced water treatment solutions across drinking water, highest-quality water for injections (WFI) used in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and water for heating, boiling, and cooling systems as well as water for swimming pools. The company is committed to reducing energy use, minimizing CO₂ emissions, and protecting the most valuable resource, H₂O, while actively supporting decarbonization through hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, as well as advanced energy heating and heat pump technologies from WindhagerNXT. Its mission, “BWT – For You and Planet Blue,” reflects a clear dedication to people and responsible resource use.

Formula One plays a key role in this mission. Through its long-term partnership with Alpine Formula One Team, BWT promotes responsible water consumption, aiming to replace single-use plastic and glass bottles with high-quality, locally mineralized BWT Water.

At the launch event, guests were served BWT Mineralized Water, demonstrating how innovative, eco-friendly treatment technologies enable sustainable hydration without compromising quality, taste, or convenience – whether in the paddock, on board, or in everyday life.

From a sporting perspective, Executive Technical Director David Sanchez shared insights into the team's “all hands on deck” approach for 2026, including collaboration with Mercedes-AMG on an all-new power unit. BWT Alpine Formula One Team Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore and Managing Director Steve Nielsen highlighted the importance of partnerships such as BWT, emphasizing that the brand's role extends far beyond branding.

As the A526 prepares to hit the track, BWT and Alpine reaffirm their ambition to combine high-performance motorsport with responsible innovation, using Formula One's global stage to inspire positive change – For You and Planet Blue.

Andreas Weissenbacher, CEO of BWT: “Formula 1® represents the highest level of performance and innovation – and BWT applies the same standards in business and is proud to integrate sustainability into the Formula 1 environment through our partnership with Alpine Formula One Team. With BWT Mineralized Water and our advanced water solutions, we are reducing single-use plastic and glass bottles while setting new benchmarks for responsible water management in motorsport and beyond. As this new era begins, we remain committed to driving PINK change – For You and Planet Blue."

Flavio Briatore, BWT Alpine Formula One Team Executive Advisor: “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for BWT Alpine Formula One Team. It is with great pleasure to begin our season here in Barcelona as we prepare for what will undoubtedly be a unique season in Formula One history, not least for us with the new technical regulations, which offer a clean sheet of paper and a great opportunity for us to be more competitive than previous campaigns. It has been a relentless few months at the Enstone factory in preparation for the season, designing and creating the A526, together with Mercedes-AMG who will supply the new power unit and gearbox from this season; a partnership we are very much excited about. A special thank you to BWT as our loyal title partner and with which we share our sustainability goals.”
