As FIA Formula 2 takes to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend, so does Spaniard Mari Boya for what will be his first home race of the 2026 season. Hear from Mari as he prepares to race in front of his home crowd, cheered on by his friends and family, as well as the roar of Spanish fans under the Catalan sun.
Mari Boya, Aston Martin Aramco Driver Academy & FIA Formula 2 Driver:
”Barcelona is definitely the most special race of the year for me, especially with my family and friends coming to cheer me on. I’m going into the weekend with the mindset of not putting too much pressure on myself after what was a bit of a tough race in Monaco. We went through all the data after Sunday’s race and will look to make the most of what we learned this week at a track I know very well. My aim is to have a strong Qualifying session and keep pushing to fight for points.”
