Marc Philipp Gemballa introduces the MARSIEN GT

Written by

Following the success of the MARSIEN series, currently being delivered to owners in more than 16 countries around the globe, Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH (not associated in any form with Gemballa GmbH) proudly announces the MARSIEN GT, the next chapter in the MARSIEN story and second vehicle to join the company’s growing portfolio of bespoke collector automobiles.

While the MARSIEN, introduced at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2021, created its own category of all terrain capable production sportscars, the MARSIEN GT has been developed as the road focused evolution of the MARSIEN program following the entrepreneurs’ vision of creating modern yet timeless holistic masterpieces produced in limited series production.

The MARSIEN GT is limited to just 30 bespoke commissioned examples, raising total production of the MARSIEN program to only 70 vehicles worldwide in honor of the 70th anniversary of the entrepreneur’s father and automotive visionary Uwe Gemballa.

MARSIEN GT will be unveiled for its world premiere and North American debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance awards ramp on Thursday, 13th August 2026 at 3 pm PDT.

FROM ALL TERRAIN TO GRAND TOURING

While the MARSIEN was inspired by the legendary Paris–Dakar rally era, creating a hybrid between a modern-day supercar combined with off-road capabilities delivering the ultimate driving experience for both on and off road, the MARSIEN GT translates the same iconic design language into its most road-focused evolution yet.

Developed on the fully homologated MARSIEN platform, the MARSIEN GT transforms its distinctive character into a pure grand touring concept, designed for enhanced road performance, dynamic precision driving and everyday usability.

Where the MARSIEN was created to transcend the boundaries between on road and off road, the MARSIEN GT focuses its capabilities on the road ahead—marking the next evolution of the MARSIEN story.

A COMPLETELY REIMAGINED PLATFORM

Each MARSIEN GT begins with a Porsche 992 Turbo S before undergoing a comprehensive transformation involving approximately 1,500 individually engineered and manufactured components across the MARSIEN platform. From the carbon fiber exterior, bespoke double wishbone suspension, titanium exhaust system, door handles along with own taillights, wiring loom, and aerodynamic architecture to chassis systems, interior craftsmanship and numerous technical assemblies, the vehicle is fundamentally reimagined which took several thousands of hours of engineering and design to create an entirely new collector automobile.

EXTERIOR

The MARSIEN GT features a completely new developed full carbon fiber exterior consisting of more than 100 individual carbon fiber components including air channels, wing mirrors, wheel arch liners and a rear panel that reaches all the way from the A-pillar to the rear wing.

Every exterior panel has been reworked for the MARSIEN GT and exclusively designed for lightweight, cooling and enhanced aerodynamic performance by introducing new features such as active front fender louvres, an active rear wing, roof scoop, ram air intakes, side skirt intakes and a full carbon fiber underbody resulting in a total weight reduction of 75 kilograms compared to the standard Porsche 992 Turbo S base vehicle. To further enhance aerodynamic performance and weight distribution, the MARSIEN GT also features a central fuel intake system. Each panel is manufactured by leading German carbon fiber specialists who also supply leading OEMs, sportscar manufacturers and several Formula One teams.

Designer and Porsche aficionado Alan Derosier responsible for the ultra-modern yet timeless looking design of the MARSIEN, was also commissioned to lead the design concept for the MARSIEN GT.

ENHANCED AERODYNAMIC FEATURES

The MARSIEN GT has been designed for enhanced aerodynamic performance featuring a completely new developed active aero system with active front fender louvres and a raised and angled active rear wing as well as further aerodynamic enhancements such as larger front end air intakes, a roof scoop with ram air intakes, side skirts air intakes, as well as a complete carbon fiber underbody.

The active aero elements are powered by a pneumatic air pressure system allowing for instant pneumatic actuation of both the louvres and rear wing. The active front fender louvres release high-pressure air from the wheel housings reducing front axle lift and wheel arch turbulence, while the distinctive active rear wing of the MARSIEN GT has been designed with an increased angle of attack, enhancing rear axle downforce and stability at higher speeds and functions as an air brake when needed.

The roof scoop draws undisturbed airflow from above the cabin and directs it straight to the intercoolers, while separate ram air intakes feed the engine‘s intake path, and the aero adjusted intakes on the side skirts channel fresh air to the rear wheel arches for additional brake cooling. The MARSIEN GT replaces the solid aluminium underfloor with a complete lightweight carbon fiber underbody saving weight and optimising air flow to the diffusor.

NEW ROAD-FOCUSED SUSPENSION

While the MARSIEN was engineered for all-terrain capability, the MARSIEN GT’s suspension has been developed to deliver a more focused and dynamic on road driving experience. In continued technical partnership with suspension specialist KW Automotive, an entirely new double-wishbone suspension setup was developed specifically for the MARSIEN GT, paired with a bespoke road focused damper system based on KW’s latest DDC V5 technology.

The electronically controlled dampers continuously adjust their compression and rebound forces in real time. Two electromagnetic proportional valves within each damper regulate both forces independently, allowing the system to respond within just 20 milliseconds to changing road conditions and driving situations. This provides the precise control and immediate response required, while retaining the ride comfort expected of a GT.

For greater everyday usability, the system also incorporates a front-axle nose lift that raises the front of the vehicle by 60 mm—or approximately 2.36 inches—to clear driveways, ramps and speed bumps. In its standard configuration, the MARSIEN GT maintains its road-focused ride height of 100 mm—or approximately 3.94 inches.

Furthermore, the driver can choose between several driving modes via the drive mode selector on the steering wheel, which automatically adjusts damper, transmission setting, and engine mapping, accordingly for the selected drive mode.

For perfect driving conditions, the MARSIEN GT comes with specially designed six spoke forged aluminum wheels with center locking system, running on Michelin Ultra High-Performance Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

POWERED BY RUF

A truly bespoke vehicle requires a unique powertrain of the highest quality. Consequently, Marc Philipp Gemballa is continuing his partnership with legendary Porsche engine specialist RUF Automobile for the engine development of the MARSIEN GT. Registered as a manufacturer since 1981, RUF Automobile is known for its Porsche engine expertise, having already worked with Marc’s father Uwe Gemballa to produce powertrains for various vehicles in the 1980s.

The engine upgrade powered by RUF enables the six-cylinder boxer engine to deliver over 830 horsepower and 930 Newton meters of torque with enhanced VTG turbo chargers, a revised ECU mapping and transmission setting.

For clients that are looking for even more power, there will be a second-stage engine upgrade producing more than 900 horsepower that is currently in development

BESPOKE TITANIUM QUAD EXHAUST BY AKRAPOVIČ

A newly developed full titanium quad exhaust system by leading performance exhaust manufacturer Akrapovič provides the MARSIEN GT with a distinct visual and acoustic signature. Its layout reinforces the more assertive rear design while complementing the character of the RUF upgraded powertrain.

ANNIVERSARY LIQUID CHAMPAGNE GOLD – A TRIBUTE IN COLOR

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Uwe Gemballa, a special one-off four-layer champagne gold metallic exterior color has been specifically created for the launch of the MARSIEN GT, named Anniversary Liquid Champagne Gold, incorporating pearlescent metallic flakes, subtly echoing the original pearl white launch color of the MARSIEN and is applied by a state-of-the-art and certified paint studio that is capable of fulfilling the most daring customer color requests.

GRANTING BESPOKE INTERIOR DREAMS

The interior of the MARSIEN GT echoes the elegance of the exterior and features several specifically designed elements. The center console has been lifted and equipped with an aluminum gear stick inspired by the legendary CGT, allowing for a sportier, more analog driving experience. It can be optionally fitted with a gear knob in exposed carbon or mahogany instead of leather or Alcantara. The interior is an example of the fine balance between form and function, with tasteful hand stitching of the logo and paddles for manual gear switching. Similar stitching can be found on the floor mats, headrest, and armrest.

As part of the special options program, clients can specify the carbon fiber interior package, adding further exposed carbon fiber elements to the driver‘s cabin. Furthermore, clients have the option to add a club sport roll bar behind the seats of their MARSIEN that can be painted in color of choice, or finished in leather, Alcantara, or exposed carbon fiber. Finally, the metal badge displaying the individual production number of the limited series of just 30 pieces is embedded in the center console – lending a special touch to the cabin.

The interior of the launch vehicle has been finished in dark grey Alcantara and has been specified with the carbon fiber bucket seats combined with interior accent elements in champagne for the stitching, seat belts, and instrument dials matching the Anniversary Liquid Champagne Gold exterior paint. The interior is equipped with carbon fiber accents finished in matte as well as a roll bar recovered in Alcantara. All badges and model designations have been finished in black on the launch vehicle specification.

LIMITED PRODUCTION RUN OF JUST 30 EXAMPLES

Limited to just 30 bespoke examples for the world’s most discerning collectors, the MARSIEN GT will be even more limited than its predecessor with first deliveries planned for the end of 2027, raising total production of the MARSIEN program to only 70 vehicles worldwide in honor of 70th anniversary of legendary automotive visionary Uwe Gemballa, whose pioneering spirit and passion for pushing boundaries continues to inspire the next generations.
