The FIA Formula 2 Championship heads to the Hungaroring this weekend for Round 9 of the 2026 season. For Mari, the Hungarian Grand Prix marks the next challenge in his campaign at one of the calendar's most technical circuits. With its tight, twisty layout, limited overtaking opportunities and emphasis on precision and consistency, the Budapest venue is set to provide another fiercely competitive weekend of Formula 2 action.

Mari Boya, Aston Martin Aramco Driver Academy & FIA Formula 2 Driver:
"Sunday in Spa was definitely a much better race for us. I think we maximised everything we had. I finished as the lead car on our strategy and made a good comeback to score points after starting P17, which is something we can be pleased with.
“Now the focus is on Budapest. The main goal is to have a much better Friday. Last weekend we didn't get any meaningful free practice running because of a mechanical issue, and that compromised our whole weekend. We're pushing hard with the team to arrive with a stronger baseline and put ourselves in the best possible position to maximise every session. I'm feeling more and more comfortable in the races, and our race pace has been really strong. The next step is improving our one-lap performance because that's where we need to make gains. Budapest is a circuit I really enjoy and a place I always look forward to racing, so I'm excited to get there. Hopefully we can fight for more points."
